In my opinion timber is great in furniture but not in the construction of the ultimate in practical workbenches. Made from welded heavy section steel these benches are extremely tough, versatile and make woodworking and jewellery a pleasure.

I guess being a design and technology teacher has given me a great advantage in designing and making benches that work well.  If there is a fault or a weakness in a design then you can be guaranteed the students – little darlings- will let me know by breaking it.  Years of experience have developed benches that are as durable as can possibly be.
